Were you always planning to be an Attorney and why?

Yes, I've always believed in a fair and just world and i wanted to play my part making the world we live in a fair and just one.

 

When meeting with clients do they mostly come to your rooms or do you mostly go their premises?

My clients come to my office, I mostly go to my clients

 

What is your preferred mode of communication with your clients?

Email, Phone, Face to Face

 

Have you ever done an online video call with a client?

No

 

What do you love most about being an attorney?

I love seeing my clients satisfied with the outcome i bring. That always bring a smile to my face knowing that I'm making a difference.

 

Would you recommend becoming an attorney as a career for school-leavers, and why?

Most definitely. It is a fulfilling job.

 

What qualities should South Africans be looking for in their attorney?

Professional, prompt and ethical

 

In your view, what are the major problems and/or opportunities facing the legal profession?

There are not enough opportunities for females in the legal fraternity especially for black females in the commercial sphere.

 

What fields of law do you, as an attorney, mostly focus on?

Civil, labour, family which includes divorce, contracts, immigration debt review, criminal law, company registration, competition law compliance, trust administration and estates

 

From your experience as an attorney, if you could cite one of the biggest reasons South Africans need advice from an attorney, what would it be?

Lack of knowledge. One of the biggest issues South Africans have is acting without knowing. People need to seek advise beforehand

 

Do you think the coming wave of automation in the next few years will steal some legal jobs and why/why?>

Yes it will steal some work as mostly we are assisting clients with their claims especially in 3rd party claims.

Lay person with no legal background whatsoever

 

How far away from your premises is your furthest client?

About 150 Km

 

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Reading, jogging and spending time with my family

 

What is the most interesting thing on your bucket list?

I want to work in some way with the current Chief Justice
